When you walk into Able and Baker you get a warm feeling in your stomach that it will be delighted on whatever may be put in within the next few minutes. Take a seat, and scan around the room, and you will see an incredible collection of what appears to be original art pieces all around its walls.
On this particular night, the venue was featuring it’s monthly comedy show. It’s stage lining had an elevated bamboo wall, causing the comedian to announce what the purpose of this may be…perhaps protecting the performers from sea turtles rushing the stage.
Stand up comedy in a venue like this makes a fun and ambient event. On this show, not only was the audience excited to be in a comedy show at a spectacular venue, but the comedian was less than a foot away – causing the performers to dive in and get to know the audience better. Everyone was in on the joke at Able and Baker.
The environment of the room is mostly a golden haze of aesthetics. The bar wall is full of little statuettes and portraits depicting fluorescent colors dancing on pop icons.
You will feel like home in a place that has so much more to offer after your first visit.
As the night went on all the comedians and audience members experienced a great event at the Able and Baker Comedy show. Great comedy shows in the city of Miami always goes down as a fun moment that can never again be relived in the same way.
