5 Interview Questions with Comedian Edgar Rivera

1. As a internationally touring comic, do you consider Miami to be a rare place to do appearances? Why or why not.

As a matter of fact I do, I have performed in Miami just a couple of times. I think you guys need way more laughter in your lives. Specially after Titi Irma!!

2. Being a comedian who performs in Spanish and in English, what do you find most unique about performing for the latino community? Especially for a unique crowd like Miami?

I love to make people laugh. But when I get a Latino crowd I feel it a little bit more. Since I could go Spanglish on them. I don't have many stages where I could perform in Spanish, but when I do, it does feel good. I think Miami needs to see this Puerto Rican from the Bronx.  And they will defenatly will by some Spanglish Comedy.

3. What do you mostly base your comedy on?

My comedy is personal. As comedian the first thing we get is, can you tell me a joke?? I don't have jokes. I talk about life. The life experiences that we all could relate too. How my parents don't agree with my interest in comedy and the fact that they still don't speak English and of course my relationships. Yes ships, cause I have had a lot of them. Why, cause I'm a Latino.

4. What can the people from Miami expect this coming Wednesday?

The people of Miami are in for a treat. Im expecting to make someone pee on their pants. A comedians dream. All jokes aside, they will get a taste of this Puerto Rican's life.

5. What's your favorite joke and from whom? Why do you find it funny?

My favorite joke is Super Son by yours truly. Yes I like my own jokes. Why do I find it funny? Come to the Blue Martini in Wednesday night and find out for yourself. #Tangana
